IsoBridge for Zoom — User Guide
IsoBridge joins a Zoom meeting or webinar hosted by your client and sends each participant's video and audio as a separate NDI® source on your local network. Meeting media is processed on your Mac only; it never passes through PixelDimension Ltd. servers.

Requirements
- A Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 14 or later.
- NDI®-compatible receiving software or hardware on the same local network (for example a production switcher, recorder or multiviewer).
- An email address you can read (used to sign in to IsoBridge).
- A Zoom account you can sign in to, used to authorize IsoBridge. You do not need to be the meeting host.
- For every meeting you capture: the host must admit you (if a waiting room is used) and must allow local recording for the IsoBridge participant.
- Network access to Zoom and to PixelDimension Ltd.'s services over HTTPS.
Adding the app
Authorization is started from inside IsoBridge, not from the Zoom App Marketplace, because each Zoom authorization is tied to the signed-in copy of the app on your Mac.
Step 1 — Install
- Download the installer from https://updates.pxdim.com/macos/IsoBridge-0.3.2-8.dmg.
- Open the DMG and drag IsoBridge to Applications, then open it from Applications.
- When macOS asks, allow Local Network access (needed for NDI). macOS may also ask for Microphone and Camera access because the Zoom Meeting SDK requires them; IsoBridge always joins with your camera off and microphone muted.
Step 2 — Sign in with your email
- Open Settings (⌘,) → Account & Connection [帳號與連線] → Manage account and Zoom authorization… [管理眾力與 Zoom 授權…].
- Enter your email in Sign-in email [登入 Email] and click Send 4-digit code [寄送 4 碼驗證碼].
- Enter the code from the email in Email code [Email 驗證碼] and click Verify [驗證登入].
- Codes are valid for 5 minutes and can be used once. You can request a new code after 60 seconds (up to 5 per hour).
- Your sign-in is remembered in the macOS Keychain for 90 days.
Step 3 — Connect your Zoom account
- In the same window, click Connect Zoom account (opens browser) [連結 Zoom 帳號(開啟瀏覽器)].
- Your default browser opens Zoom's sign-in page. Sign in to Zoom, review the requested permission (view your Zoom Access Key), and click Allow.
- The browser shows a 6-digit confirmation code. Return to IsoBridge, enter it in 6-digit code shown in the browser [瀏覽器顯示的 6 位確認碼] and click Confirm Zoom authorization [確認 Zoom 授權]. The code is valid for 10 minutes and 3 attempts.
- The status changes to Zoom linked [Zoom 已連結].
Only enter a confirmation code from an authorization you started yourself in IsoBridge. The Zoom link applies to this Mac; repeat Step 3 on each Mac you use.
Using the app
Join a meeting
- Click Join Meeting [加入會議] in the toolbar (or File → Join Client Meeting… [加入客戶會議…], ⌘J).
- Paste the meeting ID or invite link [會議 ID 或邀請連結].
- Under Zoom connection [Zoom 連線設定], choose PixelDimension Ltd. authorization [眾力授權].
- Enter the display name [加入姓名] that participants will see, the meeting passcode [會議密碼] if required, and for webinars that require registration the registration email [Webinar 報名 Email].
- Click Join Meeting [加入會議].
IsoBridge joins as a regular, visible participant under the display name you entered, with camera off and microphone muted. If the meeting has a waiting room, the host must admit you.
Get capture permission from the host
- After joining, IsoBridge automatically asks the host once for local recording permission. The host approves it in Zoom's participant controls.
- While capture is active, Zoom shows its recording notification to participants.
- If the request was declined or missed, open the Diagnostics workspace and click Request capture permission from host [向主持人申請擷取許可].
- Without the host's permission, IsoBridge receives no audio or video.
Assign sources to output channels
- Open the Output Channels workspace [輸出通道] (⌘1).
- For each channel, click its source button and pick a source [選擇來源]: a participant's camera, a screen share, Active speaker, or First spotlighted participant. Type one or two letters to search; press Return to assign. Participants with the same name are shown with a distinct ID so you can pick the right one.
- In the channel inspector, set the output resolution and frame rate, the audio (participant's own audio, meeting mix, or mute; gain, balance, delay), and the fallback used when the source drops (black or last frame, with a timeout). Click Apply.
- Click Start Sending [開始發送]. Each enabled channel appears on the network as an NDI source named after the channel (default names such as
ZB-CAM-01in the current build; rename channels in the inspector).
Other controls: Standby [待命] sends black and silence while keeping the NDI sources alive; Lock [鎖定] prevents accidental changes during a show; File → Save/Open/Merge show… stores channel settings (never passcodes or credentials); File → Export Connection Log… saves network statistics as CSV.
Leave the meeting
Use File → Leave Meeting… [離開會議…], or quit the app (⌘Q) — IsoBridge stops NDI output, leaves the meeting and shuts down the Zoom SDK first.
Removing the app
Option A — Disconnect Zoom inside IsoBridge
Settings (⌘,) → Account & Connection → Manage account and Zoom authorization… → Disconnect Zoom [解除 Zoom 連結].
- Effect: IsoBridge can no longer join meetings with PixelDimension Ltd. authorization until you connect Zoom again.
- Data: your Zoom tokens and any pending authorization are deleted from our servers immediately.
- This does not remove the app from your Zoom account — use Option B as well.
- You cannot disconnect while in a meeting or while the show lock is on.
Option B — Remove the app from your Zoom account
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace (marketplace.zoom.us).
- Click Manage → Added Apps, or search for "IsoBridge".
- Select IsoBridge and click Remove, then confirm.
- Effect: Zoom revokes IsoBridge's access; joining with PixelDimension Ltd. authorization fails until you connect Zoom again (Step 3 of Adding the app).
- Data: the encrypted tokens we hold become unusable. They are deleted the next time the app tries to use them, when you disconnect Zoom (Option A) or sign out, or when your session expires (at most 90 days). To delete them right away, also do Option A.
Option C — Sign out and uninstall
- Settings → Account & Connection → Manage account and Zoom authorization… → Sign out [登出眾力]. This deletes your session and any linked Zoom tokens from our servers and removes the saved sign-in from your Keychain.
- Quit IsoBridge and drag it from Applications to the Trash.
- Optional clean-up on your Mac: in Keychain Access, delete the items named
local.zoombridge.loginandlocal.zoombridge.sdk; delete~/Library/Preferences/local.zoombridge.app.plist.
What happens to your data after removal
| Data | After removal |
|---|---|
| Meeting audio/video | Never stored by us; nothing to delete |
| Zoom tokens | Deleted immediately by Option A or C; after Option B only, deleted as described above |
| Session and device ID | Deleted when you sign out; otherwise expire after 90 days |
| Email address and sign-in security records | Kept until you ask us to delete your account at raymond@pxdim.com (see the Privacy Policy for retention details) |
| Show files and exported logs | On your Mac only; delete them yourself if no longer needed |

Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No sign-in email | Check spam; wait 60 seconds before requesting a new code; at most 5 codes per hour. After 10 wrong codes within 24 hours sign-in is locked for 24 hours. |
| "Too many requests" | Wait a minute and try again. |
| Browser says the authorization expired, or the 6-digit code is rejected | The browser step must be completed within 10 minutes, and the code allows 3 attempts. Click Connect Zoom account again to start over. |
| "Please connect or re-authorize your Zoom account" when joining | Your Zoom authorization was removed or expired. Repeat Step 3 of Adding the app. |
| Join fails with Zoom error 63 (external meeting access denied) | Zoom refused access to a meeting outside your account. Check that Zoom is linked (Step 3) and that you are using PixelDimension Ltd. authorization. If the meeting is hosted by another organization, the host's account settings may also block apps; ask the host to allow it. |
| "Waiting for host" or "Waiting room" | The meeting has not started, or the host must admit you. |
| Joined, but no video or audio | The host has not allowed local recording yet. Ask the host, then use Request capture permission from host in Diagnostics. |
| NDI sources not visible on the receiver | Make sure Start Sending is on and the channel is enabled; both machines are on the same network/subnet; macOS Local Network permission is allowed for IsoBridge (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network); firewalls allow NDI discovery and traffic. |
| Output looks soft | The output keeps the size you set, but Zoom decides the resolution it actually delivers; upscaled video is not native high resolution. |
| "Update" is unavailable | Leave the meeting, stop sending and turn off the show lock, then use Check for Updates. |
FAQ
Does meeting audio or video go through PixelDimension Ltd.'s servers? No. It is processed on your Mac and sent only to NDI receivers on your network.
Do I need to be the host? No. The host must admit you and allow local recording.
Will participants know? Yes. IsoBridge appears in the participant list under the name you choose, and Zoom shows its recording notification while capture is active.
Does the app record files? No. It does not write recordings; your NDI receivers decide whether to record.
What Zoom data does the app access? Only your Zoom Access Key (ZAK), used to join meetings as you. It is not stored on our servers.
Can I use my own Zoom Meeting SDK credentials? Yes, the app has a separate custom SDK mode for operators authorized to use a customer's own Meeting SDK app; those credentials stay on your Mac. This guide covers the PixelDimension Ltd. authorization mode listed on the Zoom App Marketplace.
